Kara and Brad have quickly become two of our favorite people. We met through our good friends Nicole and Chris and spending time with each one of the four of them is such a giant blessing to me and Matt. We felt so honored to be asked to do their wedding photography. It was so amazing to be able to be a friend and a photographer at the same time. I didn't work that day, I got to share intimate, beautiful moments with my friends. They were married on October 21 at the Edgefield in Troutdale, Oregon. The grounds were beautiful and it was the only day we were in Oregon that it didn't rain, Praise the Lord! Brad's eyes were filled with tears from the first moment he saw Kara come down the aisle. Brad's buddy Donald played minister and did a simply wonderful job. We had a great day and we love Brad and Kara! Their love is something special, and I know they are committed to making it last. We know you are having a blast in Greece, we can't wait to see you!
Kara's Monique Lhuillier dress was gorgeous. So gorgeous in fact that we referred to the dress itself as Miss Lhuillier all day. Kara looked stunning in it!
The beautiful Mrs. Harris...
The ceremonial passing of the flask...
Did I mention that Brad digs Guitar Hero? The guys gave me their best jam stance!
Would anyone like to much on some popcorn during the ceremony?
This is where Brad proposed exactly one year ago to the day!
Scott Ludwig blessed the bride and groom by playing music during the ceremony and the cocktail hour. He was very kind and talented. Scott even learned Brad and Kara's favorite HIM song to play during their ceremony.
There are always tiny snags at a wedding. Brad and Kara's snafu was one of my favorite moments of the evening. Their first dance as newlyweds was to Dustin Kensrue's Pistol. The song was skipping like crazy but as you can tell from the photo they had no idea. Brad and Kara were in a love haze. They sang the song to each other word for word and stared at each other, their faces practically touching at the nose. True love.
And then the night got a little crazy... we left the room for what seemed like a second and when we returned everyone had decided that the orange sashes around the chairs were supposed to be stylish headbands. It was AWESOME!
The guys...Chris, Brad and Matt
And the girls...Me, Nicole and Kara.
